There’s no combination of words
I could put on the back of a postcard
No song that I can sing
But I can try for your heart
Our dreams, they’re made out of real things
Like a shoebox of photographs
Of sepia tone loving
Love is the answer
At least, for most of the questions in my heart
Like, “Why are we here?” and “Where do we go?”
And “How come it’s so hard?”
It’s not always easy and sometimes life can be deceiving
I’ll tell you one thing
It’s always better when we’re together
– Jack Johnson

Love knows no gender, no rules, no religion, no skin color and no age. No matter what some might say to oppose that. Sometimes we as humans assume that we have the right to say what’s right or wrong in everyones lives or relationships. But we do not.We simply don’t.

When people of younger age (in their early twenties or so) tell us they want to get married, we are happy for them. Others might think: „Oh really, you are getting married THAT early? You shouldn’t do that.“ But here’s a simple question: „Why the heck not?“ Sometimes people meet each other in school, fall in love immediately and stay together for the rest of their lives. Sure, this sounds poetic and unrealistic in todays world, but we can name some examples, if you ask so. One couple which got married at a younger age are Caro and Björn. (Fun fact: they grew up in the city next to Jessy’s home and when we first met, we started laughing about the sepia toned wedding pictures of the local photographer’s shop.) Why did Caro and Björn fall in love? Well, that’s a different story, but they got to know each other more or less because of Caro’s pink scooter, their love for ice cream and some other person no to be named in detail. Their love for ice cream and their story having begun in an ice-cream parlor was the reason why they chose to get married in Hamburg – St. Pauli based ice cream parlor „Luicella“. (The first couple who ever got married in that place). The ceremony was held by three of their best friends who during the ceremony quoted some German hip hop artists and in the end married our lovers in the name of the Lord, the Son and the Holy Ice Cream.

Not to be missing on the photos: their VW van called „Opa“ (“Grandpa“). An important part of their travel road-trip adventures. (Did we already mention that we do love that kind of adventures as well?)

Whatever – we do have one simple, yet important message before you start looking at the photos: love whoever you want. It doesn’t matter, as long as you are happy!
